Fantastic and rare antique armourers chest circa early 1900's
Won't be seeing one of these again in a hurry.
 
This sturdy and still functioning piece has all the lovely and subtle hallmarks of a well constructed bespoke handmade chest, from the dovetailed corners, original strap hinges, 'biscuit' jointed floor panels, reinforcing straps and of course the original armourers and owners name paint stenciled to the chest front.
Add to this the hand forged and somewhat ironic 'Heart' shaped carry handles you have a truly unique chest.
The finishing touch though has to be the personal brass name and address plate of the armourer himself :
