Another super rare poster which is part of New Zealand's Car racing / Grand Prix treasured history.
We have never seen another ( but would love to ) so again should probably be in a museum for all to enjoy.
When we received this fragile poster it was in need of some real love and attention, there was overall lots of grime, small areas of paper loss, staining and edge damage, overall colour was pretty good.
Hence some preservation and restoration was desperately needed to salvage this iconic poster.
This was carried in Los Angeles by the Foldline Poster Company, specialists in poster conservation and restoration.
The Poster underwent tape removal, cleaning, paper loss replacement and linen backing.
The remit was preserve, clean and restore to a degree that the poster did not look 'Brand New' but clean and preserved with a nod to it's past.
The result is a great looking piece of NZ Grand Prix history which will now be around for years to come and which now still shows fantastic detail and colour throughout.
