Nice example of a Machinist's / Engineers articulating task lamp.
 
Manufactured. by EDL ( Engineers & Designers Lighting ) Industries of Staffordshire, England.
This  Bandit light would have been produced anytime between the 1930's and 1950's.
With it rotating base, three articulating knuckles and swivel shade ,positioning and versatility is endless for whichever task is required.
Originally this light could have been wall or desk mounted, it is supplied with a round timber base that  easily supports its weight and versatility and allows it to be easily moved if required.
Re wired for modern domestic use this fantastic light still harbours its great patina and style form a bygone Industrial Age.
