Rare antique timber Oil box end for Tide water oil Co most likely manufactured from Redwood / Spruce
The Tide Water Oil company was founded in New York City in 1887 and this box end dates circa anytime from then till the 1920's.
The boxes would have been used to transport oil for use in illuminating lamps.
Two available.
SIZE : 362mm high x 240mm wide x 22mmthick
CONDITION : Overall good, raised grain in areas, please note colour is darker than appears in images.
Stencilled font still mostly legible.
